Duplicate Permission Sets

IFS Managed permission sets provide access to a defined flow by R&D. Optionally, you can duplicate and customize those permission sets to provide fine-grained access to users according to your organization’s needs. The Duplicate option is not limited to IFS Managed permission sets.

The Duplicate option is provided on both Permission Set and Permission Sets pages.

Selecting the Duplicate Permission Set will toggle an assistant, which allows administrators to duplicate a permission set.

• The duplicated permission set should be given a new name, and you may also change the description.
• All duplicated permission sets will have the delivery type as Custom.
• If a Limited Task User (LTU) permission set is duplicated, the duplicate will not be a LTU Permission Set.
• Along with permission set items, administrators may choose to duplicate the user grants and user group grants as well.

Once duplicated, the permission set will have a reference to the original Permission Set. This will make it easy to find the original Permission Set and navigate to it.

To identify any differences later, use the Compare with Original command, which toggles an assistant to compare the duplicate permission set with its original. This will come in handy after Major Release updates.
