Transfer Permission sets¶
A Permission Set can be exported to a file and used as an extra backup or imported into another IFS Cloud installation. The default format supported for a exported/import Permission Set is XML. If several Permission Sets are exported together, all individual Permission Set XML files will be added to a single Zip file.
The export/import Permission Set supports all sections in Permission Sets. i.e. Projections, Workflows, Lobbies, Background Jobs, System Priiviledges and Grant Structure. The Permission Sets that already exist in the grant structure, will be exported as separate XML files along with the desired Permission Set file. Optionally, Administrators can export/import Permission Ses along with Users and User Group grants.
The exported Permission Sets can be imported manually using the Import Permission Set option in Solution Manager, or using a delivery.
Note: Only the Custom delivery type Permission Sets are allowed to be exported. IFS Managed, or IFS Managed Base Permission Sets are not allowed to be imported directly or indirectly even when those are in the structure of a Custom delivery type permission set.
