Integrating IFS Cloud Mobile Apps with IFS Advanced Forms

The IFS Advanced Forms integration is intended to primarily work with IFS MWO Maintenance and IFS MWO Service apps. To this end, it utilizes the Mobile Integration screen, found in either Service > Work Management > Mobile Maintenance > Basic Data > Mobile Integration or Maintenance > Work Management > Mobile Maintenance > Basic Data > Mobile Integration.

To set this up, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure credentials are available for IFS Advanced Forms and the IFS Advanced Forms app is installed.

  2. Utilize the IFS Advanced Forms deeplink builder tool to construct an appropriate deeplink URL so that IFS Advanced Forms can be started on the required Form, including adding any input values to DataSetParameters. Refer OmniByte FormsPro documentation for further details on deeplink creation.

  3. If IFS Advanced Forms needs to return the user to the current screen, toggle the CallBackURL parameter, but leave it blank, so that IFS MWO can supply the current screen as the return point.

  4. Login to IFS Cloud Web and navigate to the correct Mobile Integration screen depending on the app being used. Add a new entry with Feature Type as "Web" and enter the URL from the previous step, and ensure values are specified for any required parameters.

  5. Save and re-initialize IFS MWO.

  6. A new option will be visible inside the Integrations section in the app's menu, and tapping on it would now navigate to IFS Advanced Forms, passing any parameters that were selected.

  7. Additionally, when pressing the back arrow key on IFS Advanced Forms, it will return the user to IFS mobile apps with any parameters passed in to it.
