Query Designer Quick Reports¶
The Query Designer Quick Report functionality allows a user to create Quick Reports based on a query created in the Query Designer. Query Designer avoids writing complex codes in configurations and makes the functionality more user-friendly for non-technical users.
The Queries in the Query Designer can be utilized through Quick Report functionality, to generate the reports based on the designed query.
Life Cycle of Query Designer Quick Reports¶
Create Query Designer Quick Report¶
To create a query designer quick report you must first create a query in the query designer. You can read about Query Designer's Capabilities to understand the creation of queries.
The created queries should be published to utilize in a query designer quick report. Upon publishing the query, a query projection name is generated as well.
Users can navigate to the Quick Report page and create a new quick report using the published query as follows.
The quick report will be created and the user will be redirected to the Quick report detail page automatically. For more information on Quick Report creation, you can refer Manage Quick Report
The Export button downloads the query designer quick report to the machine in XML format.
The View Report button enables the user to view the generated report results within the IFS Cloud interface.
The Schedule Report button facilitates admin users with scheduling the respective quick report according to specific parameters, times & mailing/streaming options.
Modify Query Designer Quick Reports¶
Users can modify the query designer quick report by editing the query used on the Query Designer page. First, select the relevant query that you need to edit & open it in the query designer. Then make the required changes to the previously selected entities or attributes & save the query. For the modified queries, a new Synchronize button will be available for the interface.
In case the modifications done to the queries are not synchronized, that will be reflected on the Queries page.
Once the modified query is synchronized, the changes made to the query will reflect wherever the query is utilized. To check the modifications in query designer quick reports, the user must refresh the Quick Report page by using the ‘Refresh All Quick Reports’ button. Else the user can select the report that the changes were done & refresh it by using the ‘Refresh Quick Report(s)’ button.
Set Parameters to a Query Designer Quick Report¶
To set parameters to the query designer quick report, the relevant query in the Query Designer page needs to be parameterized. Users can parameterize the query by adding filters to the query. To refer to how to set parameters read more about Filter Pane & follow the instructions.
Once the parameterizing is complete & the changes are synchronized (for existing queries), the user can either create/check the relevant query designer quick report results from the Quick Reports page.
KNOWN LIMITATION
Please note that due to an implementation constraint, the parameters which accept date field will not populate the date picker in parameter window.

Query designer quick reports can be scheduled one at a time, from the Quick Reports page. You can follow the Scheduled Quick Reports page to refer to the functional flow of scheduling a query designer quick report.
