Deleting an Analysis Model

If a Published or an Uploaded Analysis model needs to be deleted, it is done through the Delete button. The Delete button is available in both Analysis Models page and Analysis Model Details page. This action will delete the model entry from the IFS Cloud Web as well as from the Power BI workspace.

Marked for Deletion field in the Analysis Model Details page indicates that the model will be deleted from the workspace.

If a Published model is deleted using the Delete button,

  • Marked for Deletion will be set to True, and once the delete is done, it will be set to False
  • The scheduler deletes both the dataset and report from Power BI workspace
  • Name will be restored to the Original Name and the connection to the Published report will be cleared
  • Analysis Model Process history will be updated as Not Published
  • Analysis Model Refresh history/logs will not be cleared

If an Uploaded model is deleted using the Delete button,

  • Marked for Deletion will be set to True
  • The scheduler deletes the Analysis Model entry from IFS Cloud Web
  • The scheduler deletes both the dataset and report from Power BI workspace
  • Analysis Model Refresh history/logs will not be cleared

Note

Delete button will only be available for the Published and Uploaded models.

After the deletion, the Refresh Intervals for a model will be cleared. Delete Model feature enables re-uploading the same model in the same name or Publishing the model again.

Selecting the Delete button will set the Mark for Deletion to True (Mark for Deletion field is only available in the Analysis Model Details view).
