Creating/Modifying Report Studio - Designer Layouts¶
In this section, a comprehensive guide is provided on how to use IFS Report Studio – Designer to design your operational report layouts. IFS Report Studio empowers you to craft visually compelling and data-driven operational reports for IFS Cloud. To access the IFS Report Studio -Designer, follow the guidelines below:

Log in to IFS Cloud.

Open the Solution Manager-> Reporting & Analysis -> Operational Reporting -> Report Studio -> Reports page.

Use the Report Name/Report ID to filter the required operational report.

Select an IFS Operational report from the list.

Click Show Details, if you’ve any existing layouts that can be used to edit.

If not, Click Add New Layout & the Create New Report Layout assistant will be opened.

Fill in Report Layout Definition Details.

Add Layout name (The .rep extension is recommended to insert, but not mandatory) and add a Layout Title which will be used as the layout name in the print dialog layout list.

If required, the user can upload an existing layout by enabling the Import Layout option and browsing the required layout.

Select the created unpublished layout version from the Layout Designer and Start designing the uploaded layout.

Once you create the layout, the Report Definition of the selected report will be updated with the layout the user newly created.
Note: When the layout is published, the In Use field will change to "Yes" automatically.
After designing the layout, the user can either save the unpublished version of the layout or user can publish the saved layout.
Only one layout version can be published per layout. Changes made to a published layout are saved as a separate, unpublished version. This unpublished version doesn’t reflect the latest changes and cannot be used to execute reports until it’s published.
