Target Version

When creating a new Developer Studio project a Target Version needs to be specified.

See table below for a description of all the target versions supported by Developer Studio 18.

Each Target Version makes the project behave differently. It decides:

  • how the generated code will look like in the end.
  • which version of the bundled Application Server will be installed.
  • what versions of the bundled libraries are used (Java Server Framework, Web Client)

Note: If you select your Target Version as Apps 10, Project Wizard will prompt you with a field to select Build Home environment, provide the path to Build Home environment using Browse option.

If you tick the "Use Build Home Target Version" option, Project Wizard will automatically select the Target Version for the selected build home.
